How to Break a
Negative Thought Loop

You cannot stop a looping thought by telling yourself to stop thinking it

Here is what actually works.

02 — 06

Your mind does not respond
well to negatives

Why "just stop" does not work

Tell yourself do not think about that — and your mind immediately does the opposite.

Because you just gave it a picture and a word — the two things it responds to most.

Fighting the thought only makes the thought stronger.

03 — 06

So you stop fighting.
And you start replacing.

Think of it as a ladder.

You do not jump from "I am terrible at this" straight to "I am amazing at this." Your mind will not buy it. The gap is too big.

04 — 06

Climb one rung at a time

" I am terrible at this " → "I am still learning this."

" I always mess up " → "I do not always get it right."

" I am a failure " → "I am someone who keeps trying."

05 — 06

This works because you are not
asking your mind to believe something
it cannot accept yet

Just something slightly less painful.

That is enough to interrupt the loop — create a moment of space — and in that space a new pattern can begin.

06 — 06

Every time you choose
a better thought

you are rewiring.
Slowly. Deliberately.
Permanently.
