01 — 05

Why Your Brain Keeps Playing
the Same Negative Thoughts
on Repeat

There is a reason it will not leave

Every thought creates a physical reaction and an emotional response.
That emotion drives your actions. Your actions provoke more thoughts.

02 — 05

This is called a looping thought

The loop in action

" I cannot do anything right. " That makes me feel anxious. I feel anxious because I am stupid. I am stupid because I cannot do anything right.

And back to the beginning.

The thought feeds the feeling. The feeling feeds the thought. The whole loop tightens.

03 — 05

Your mind protects the loop
instead of breaking it

Because it loves what is familiar.

This is why you cannot simply think yourself out of it.

In the battle between emotion and logic — emotion wins.

04 — 05

The way out is not to
fight the thought

It is to interrupt it.

Choose a better thought. Not a perfect one — just a slightly better one.

Then repeat it. Until that becomes the loop instead.

05 — 05

The longer a loop runs,
the more hardwired it becomes.

Until it does not feel
like a thought anymore.

It feels like you.
