You Make Your Beliefs
and Your Beliefs
Make You

The rule that ties all the others together

Belief → Thought → Feeling → Action → Event

Not four links. Five. Everything starts one step further back than you think.

02 — 07

The belief comes first

It gets made — not born

No one is born feeling not enough, unlovable, or different.

A belief gets made — from a moment, a word, a conclusion a child drew with too little information to know better.

Humiliated in class once, you form the belief: speaking up means rejection.

03 — 07

Belief → Thought → Feeling → Action → Event

It generates the thought

The belief doesn't announce itself. It just quietly supplies the thought that shows up years later, right on cue —

"They're going to see I don't know what I'm doing."

You didn't choose that thought. The belief did.

04 — 07

Belief → Thought → Feeling → Action → Event

The thought creates the feeling

That thought lands in your body before you can question it.

Chest tight. Stomach dropping.

Not because the room is dangerous — because the belief said it was, decades ago.

05 — 07

Belief → Thought → Feeling → Action → Event

The feeling drives the action

Fear like that only wants one thing: out.

So you freeze at the podium. Or you never book the talk at all.

The action was never really a choice — it was the feeling finishing a sentence the belief started.

06 — 07

Belief → Thought → Feeling → Action → Event

The action produces the event

The silence. The stumble. The chance not taken.
Proof, apparently, that the original belief was right all along.

"I might be rejected"

Fear → you freeze → the room you never got to have

"I am enough"

Calm → you show up as you are → the life that matches

07 — 07

So you get to change twice

Change the belief — the thought, feeling and action follow on their own.

Change the behaviour — done enough times, it teaches the belief a new lesson.

You are not the beliefs you were handed. You are the one who makes them.
